Equal Pay Check has published ten free white papers on the Dutch implementing law for the EU Pay Transparency Directive (bill 36949). The series of 160 pages explains step by step what the new rules ask of employers, from job evaluation and recruitment to pay reporting, remedying pay gaps and keeping evidence.
The release follows the final figures of Statistics Netherlands (CBS) for 2025: women earned on average 9.8 percent less per hour than men. That is the difference between average hourly wages, not a measure of unequal pay for the same or equal work. Converted into days, women in the Netherlands symbolically work unpaid from 26 November this year, according to a calculation by Equal Pay Check based on the CBS figures.
Alongside the white papers, Equal Pay Check offers a free twelve-question Quick Scan and a full self-assessment with a reviewed report, an action plan and a one-hour advisory session. No individual salary data is requested. The Dutch bill is before the House of Representatives, which will discuss it on 14 December; the government aims for entry into force on 1 January 2027, but that date is not yet certain.
The full press release is available in Dutch as a pdf and as a Word file, and on the Dutch press page.
